Congrats to Gary for running a 10.91 in his bone stock c6Z06 with drag radials on a street night. The car is about a month old and hasn't even been broken in yet. The air was great but we were battling traction all night. With any heat in the track he would have run at least a .1 faster.
We could have used a little track prep or some more cars.
Time to move on to some low 10's with bolt ons.
Great driving as usual from a heavyweight.
keep that crap outta the C5 section...its discouraging to all us C5 guys that dump a bunch of money in their cars making them drive like **** with cams, clutchs, and whatnot only to hope to run what those damn C6Z's run with DR's
all seriousness though congrats gary...you are one drivin fool!...any vids? and sorry to hear about the 04Z
Kurt
Thanks guys. Now that the AMR TEAM has a baseline, we cannot wait to start the mods. Major bolt-ons will not start until the fall since our focus will be on the Corvette Challenge Pro 11.50 index. We will take a similar approach as we did with the C5Z. Our expectations are very high since we have more displacement and all of the other goodies packed into the LS7. Stay tuned!
I believe that there is one floating around from a couple of guys that Rob and I met at the track. Thanks for the props. I know that you will hit your goal as soon as you can get to the track.

Congrats Gary!
Nice run and I really like the C6Z
Just curious why you decided not to mod the C5Z past the bolt ons?

Thanks. I wanted a car that would feel very close to stock since it was a DD and be able to run the Corvette Challenge Pro 11.50 in the heat of summer. Once we saw the car's potential with just bolt-ons, we knew that we could accomplish this and also get into the 10s. Objectives achieved.
Thanks to all for your kind words. As Rob stated, we believe that this car has the potential to see low 10s with bolt-ons. New goal set after we go some rounds this year in the Pro 11.50.
what was the breakdown and launch technique? wondering how that C6Z clutch treated you....all the fuss about higher rpm glazing and whatnot true?
makes me want to sell mine for one
