tomorrow im going to drag my bone stock 2000 c5 coupe automatic for the first time. anybody have any advice on launching, reaction time, turning traction control on/off or any other things i might need to know? thanks
Not too sure about driving an auto-tragic but being your first time ignore the R/T completely as it will not affect your E/T. Also I'd recommend turning the traction control off, and if you have Active Handling, turn on the Comp. Driving mode(press and hold traction control button until Comp. Driving shows up on the DIC). Also, if you're on regular street tires try lowering the rears to around 23-24psi and airing the fronts up to around 40-45psi. Most importantly have fun and be sure to post your results in the sticky at the top of this section.
make sure u leave it in 3 not in drive.... stall the car to about 1500 rpms, and when u take off wait until the car moves a little then ease into the gas
