So last week I had the opportunity to be a contestant on the TV show PassTime. They were taping at Maryland International Raceway.
I lost
I had a great time though. and Ken lost too.
Ken won the first round, I won the next five rounds, and the other guy won the last three rounds - and won the game.
On the stage
My favorite round - the combo round with two blown Marauders
The last round was a total WTF??? 700lbs and 2000 lbs of thrust.
Yeh, a jet powered 4 wheel ATV. I was way off on my guess. In hindsight, I was just had an enormous brain dump.
And who of all people do you meet for the first time while sitting in the lobby waiting for the producer?
It was good to finally meet you and the young lady, especially under the most unexpected circumstances. I'm sorry about the loss but the whole experience is a fun one(even though I didn't actually do any taping... I hung out at the track for a couple hours after getting the "bump notice").
Man Pete thats a scarey looking flannel shirt you got going on there! LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!! GEESH everyone knows the combo round is most important and those Merc's couldnt have ran better then a combined 30.50 ET. GEESH!!!!!!!! I should've been there as your stand in! LOL! J/K
Sounds like fun man.... congrats! Do you get anything at all?
Watch the speed channel after pinks during the week. They take locals and let them show their cars and then run them down the track for a time. The panel of 3 judges have to guess what they will run after each panelist asks one question each about the car. Cool show !
