Need Racing help plz
Hey everyone, I have a 2001 Z06. I got called out for a race by another Z06 but it is an 02. I was wondering, if he has 405 and it is a CA car and mine is 385 but it was sold in NV( so they are tuned diff ) What car would win if both drivers were the same and it was off of a 35 roll off.
Both have intake
He has 4 tip borlas, I have cutouts.
He has aftermarket z06 rims, I have original lighter Z06 rims.
I have a 25% underdrive SLP pulley, His is stock.
Even though his came 405 stock and mine did not who do you think would win if both of us can drive the same????
Also is there any little thing i can do to make it faster. Nothing major like headers or cam but little things like the coolant bypass or an other little thing.

The 02 will likely win if the drivers were identical in skill. The 02 makes a lot more torque. Torque is what wins races. The spinning mass addition to the wheels isn't going to matter too much. It would if you guys had closer torque specs. But you're going to lose torque with your cut outs open unless you're tuned for it.

Check out the Z06 Fast list for similar cars and mods, and then check the varying 60'ers. that is usually the difference in who goes quick and who does not. You both will be fast, and probably similar MPH, but the race will be won with the launch, IMO.

Well see the thing is that i am getting real good at my launch and he knows that. He is not as good, so he knows i would win. Thats why he wants a roll off. I dont care, i can go launch or with a roll.
I was told that the 01 z06 is lighter than the rest. Is this true??? If so, why??
Also is it true that ca cars are tuned diff that out of state because of the emissions is so crazy?? If so, how much diff is it??
Also is there any little thing i can do to make my car just a little bit faster but not mess it up? I dont want to have to go spend a bunch of money right now to beat this guy.lol

Pull front swaybar, pull passenger seat, borrow a drag pack, remove air filter, remove AIR system.
