Yup!!!!!! Actually it really sucks over there. It feels so far away. You never see a performance post other then I put a cold air on and now I feel faster. If there is a post of something fast its hit like wild fire then dies quickly. Cross your fingers ladies the track opens this coming saturday and I hope to be there. I strapped on a 4year old pair of 275/40/17's on some old ZR1 17x11 rims and thats it. Thats the only mod i'll be running for a bit till i find a better set of tires or something. I hope i can get this thing in the 11.4-3's this time out with good weather. The tires are gonna be a big part of it i'm sure.

Bruce is more formal and makes an attempt at more eloquent speech. He is really out of his realm as I am also. He attempts to solicit opinions when he already has the answers. This is actually fun and amusing. He is still truly a C5Z guy.

I think I end up doubting myself and scared to spend money in the wrong places and I still have a tough time believing what half the people say in the C6Z section because half of them dont even try things to see what really works. It all drives me absolutely nuts. Atleast in the C5 section people are racing, going FAST and having fun. Man please let the tracks open full track this weekend and be a good day to start removing the cabin fever. I bolted up one of the ZR1s today to make sure all clears and doing well. I did find a set of 315/35/17 hoosiers for sale for $200 for the pair obviously used condition locally. I may pick them up and have them thrown on the car if the car absolutely hates the old Mickeys i have now. No they aren't the freshest or best condition but they're gonna atleast get sticky enough for the stock clutch hopefully. Gotta start learning this car soon. Gary whats the sweet RPM shift spot? 6700rpm is where i seen Rangers tach at on his shifts I think but others say ram the thing as close to 7000 as possible.

I cut my best 60' last year on 4 year old MT's. I just did an extra long burnout and they were as soft as ever. No excuse...lol

No problem. I'm not sure if the tach lags behind the actual RPM in first. If it does, it's not nearly as bad as our C5Zs. Just take note if you nick the limiter.

Just took the car out for a hot lap. Changed the clutch fluid 3 times cause it looked like tar again. Gonna take it out a bunch of times this week if i can till that stuff stays clear. I have the DR's on the back. The low traction light came on in 3rd gear not cause it lost traction but i think its cause the rear tires are shorter then the stockers and fronts so i calculated it was going faster then it was supposed to. Turned off the traction control and she felt pretty good i guess.

Maybe Gary2004Z06 could elaborate. I didnt put tire pressure sensors in my rear tires. I think once the car realizes this it goes into default and turns on the active handling permanently cause it thinks its saving you and thinks you have a flat. Not sure if theres a way around it other then buying 2 sensors and putting them in and programming them.

I'd be more worried if you had Fartpipe stuck in your head. No offense Fartpipe, but a cartoon girl is better than any guy.

You need not take the car out. You could keep pumping the clutch pedal and changing it as needed. I usually pump it 50-100 times each cycle.

Once it notices that the sensors are missing, it will let you know. It will not offer you all of the driving options. Just push the button to disable the traction control and the active handling will remain on.

First off I'm better then peppermint patty... Have you seen my legs??????? PFFTTTTT how you talkin... whatevah!

As for the clutch fluid yes I've been doing that aswell but i need to drive this damn thing its been months since i could drive it and now with the alternator replaced I can actually beat on it. I need some practice on shifting this car. The shifter throw is considerably longer then my C5 but smoother. I can tell the clutch feels smoother already with changing the clutch fluid repeatedly. I'm hoping all this homework pays off. I want to be sub 11.4's this time out on these tires. Then work my way down. Hoping to see 125mph plus this time out. Once getting the shifts perfect, good launch looking to edge mph up and the ET down.

Thanks evo2Ls1 I appreciate the confidence. I assure all of you I will give it everything i can and will to get into the 10's again. Tough thing is I will really have to hone me as the driver more now cause I will not give into the easy put a mod on the car for more power to make it happen this time with the C6Z. THEN ALL HELL IS GONNA BREAKE LOOSE!!!!!!! By the end of March I will have enough things in order minus the tune for the car to go for my next goal of 10.5's with bolt ons.
