Default FP vs Pitt

FP :
Modifications to push me over the top:
Electric waterpump
removed the a/c belt completely
installed bigger MAF cause i had my stock 2000 MAF and put on a 85mm
Ported and polished my own Throttle body
gapped my plugs tighter per how much power i was making and yes it made a difference
I ran Torco approx 1oz to gallon ratio for what was in the tank
ran the car at 1/4tank of gas at the track
I removed the passenger seat for some of those passes but realized I didnt need to.
Figured out what rake/angle of the stock suspension made the car leave the best and reduced the body from moving front to back during a shift the least amount as possible to keep the forward momentum going down the track.

Driving:
I got to the point where I would be within .1 on almost every run with the 60fts varying .05 because it became clock work. So now I could change a little thing and see the results. I varied my launch RPM till I got the cleanest 60ft (clean meaning front comes up, not pops up and stays up level through 1st gear), I would vary my 1-2shift RPM and almost tried to predict the lag of the tach to shift as consistantly close to my peak shift rpm of 6700rpm(slow tack probably almost 7K) at that time from my 1-2shift, then 2-3shift at 6900rpm and 3-4shift right at 7000rpms and i hit the rev limiter right at the traps at 130mph on good passes then.

I did get crazy like Ranger and I literally whenever working on the car or anything would sit in the car and practice much clutch/throttle launch and shifting. I do the same thing in the lanes at the track. I keep the clutch fluid reservoir changed after every 3 runs on the new C6Z06 on the old car I would change before I went to the track and have some along incase I got to aggressive on a launch.

Weather I ended up getting some nice weather aswell with -DA's but no tailwinds for me at cecil cause of how it faces is tough to come by.

Hope some of this helps you. I honestly can't remember what your dyno #'s are like and modifications/gears etc you have? EDIT: Checked your profile. Looks like you have 425rwhp and 385rwtq thats approx 20less rwhp than my car had but I had the ported fast 90mm intake and slightly more aggressive cam. I'm sure a fast intake painted black to look stock will make the 10.999 happen for you! With those HP/TQ's you are doing amazing IMO with your car so keep up the really great work. When you say "~1000DA" is that approx -1000DA as in negative or are you saying approx 1000DA above sea level?

I honestly think the aluminum flywheel is a big mistake. I tried that one time in my 98 camaroZ28 and it came out a month later. Horrible for drag racing IMO and longevity was crap. With a small cube motor you need momentum to keep you going out of the hole IMO.

DYNO SAE
439rwhp/422rwtq-170* coolant temp
445rwhp/425rwtq-195* coolant temp back to back pull
Then cool down try again.
444.00rwhp/425rwtq-170*
447rwhp/428rwtq-196*
Typically these cars always pull higher #'s on the dynos. This perplex's me that the cars performance at the track shows the opposite. I run the car down the track at 195* temps and the car will trap 123-124mph. If the car is at 170* the car runs 126-127mph.
On the dyno after I figure how to post the graph. The cars torque is lower on the colder engine temp by approx. 12rwtq from 2800-3700RPM then matches up for the rest of the run.

Uncorrected #'s which air temp was approx 50* but cloudy overcast day.
463rwhp/443rwtq-170* coolant temp
465rwhp/445rwtq- 196* coolant temp

I dont want to go into a long story on this one but as many know I ran 11.09 at 126mph with a 1.76 60ft in +40 DA at Cecil Dragway.
Well I took the car to MIR and I'm pretty darn sure the weather was alot better and the car didnt come to run to my expectations.
11.24 at 125mph with a 1.76 60ft definitely a negative DA and a headwind of approx 15mph. I lit the clutch up on the first run regretfully and not sure if she's gonna recover easily this time. It actually smelled on the dyno but comparing RPM to MPH doesnt look like it effected the dyno runs. IMO the car definitely has the power/torque to get me in that 10.9x range that it should be but i'm not sure if the clutch is going to let me.

Pitt:
yellow, yellow, yellow, green...GO

Pipester, I thought you would have ripped me a new one by now....lol

Had my little girl this weekend. We did our usual routine; went to dance class, got her nails painted (made each nail look like a slice of watermelon) and had a great weekend.
It was really nice outside.
Can hardly wait for some track events this year. Changing it up a bit and will do a few rentals and try to maximize my street tire trim and go 10s. Best to date was an 11.22 @ 128.
Then I'll be focusing more on HPDEs and getting set up for that. Probably a slight change in tune and some track beater wheels.
Sure as he!! ain't gonna burn up these new Michelins at $2k a set.
