Default Stroker blowby

Just some info for anyone running a big block or stroker.

I just added a vaccum pump from GZ Motorsports because of excessive blowby above 5000 rpm. It wasn't terrible but would blow oil out the dip stick tube onto my headers. Ran up the dyno just a month apart with almost the exact weather conditions. My total rwhp only went up 2 digits because from 5000rpm up, the pressure was already released thru the dipstick tube. However, all thru the curve showed up to 37rwhp...just awesome results. This fall should show some good improvement at the 1/8 mile and above.

Shut the hell up Fartpipe

This is a sealed system when all is hooked up. I am running normal pcv valve on the street and for the track is a 5 minute quick change to plug up the manifold\valve covers and add the little belt that runs on the tensioner pulley. The pump naturally gets lubed from oil mist, so daily driving it would give the pump only a 10,000 mile life. That is why I will only hook it up for the track. As you can see in the pic, the pump sucks from the crankcase area and pumps out to a catch can on the firewall to the left (not in pic).

Well first off I'm offended by your BOLD FACE Fartpipe blastfomey!!! If thats how you spell that even!
2nd.... The blow bye you speak of didnt happen with my 410ci stroker motor at all. I did get a slight puff of smoke on hard accell but nothing crazy. Car didnt consume oil and didnt blow oil out the dipstick either. I was going to do the vacuum thing aswell but figured ehh why bother. Great to hear you've had some gains in the HP department! You're gonna need every HP you can get when you come up here pal!!!!!!

Actually, visually... all I got was the puff of smoke at the top near redline, but obviously a lot of pressure was building on the way up.
The oil from the dipstick was only visible when it hit the headers and burned. It never blew the dip stick out, just a little oil would come past the seal.

Anyway, there is no smoke or anything going on now except a dreaded assault on FP vett with a truck

So with the vacuum pump it doesnt blow smoke or the oil out the dispstick? Did you try a new dipstick Jimmy? Or replace the oring with a tighter one?

Nah, didn't try to replace the seal. I knew I had a pressure problem from ring seal or flutter at high rpm.

True, I get no smoke what so ever from anywhere.

lol...I hear ya !

Yeah I had the breather on the valve cover and would get a little puff from it as well now that I think about it. My vette gets the puff from the breather too, but doesn't blow any oil.

Thats odd... what roller rockers do you have? If they're adjustable take a afternoon/evening drink some beers and readjust them. Just to be sure she's set to kill when i beat you.

I'm running stock LS2 rockers on both strokers. One is 6700 and the other 6150 redline. Not hight rever's

I might try the pump on the Z. It will come completely off in 10 minutes.
It has the puff of smoke at redline too. Maybe pick up 15-25 hp. That would be Kill-Mode with good air and extra 20 horse...

Pitt, glad to see that you've finally came out of the closet and admitted to being a blowby boy!

I'll forgive you because your now my 383 champion considering that the Bag Man apparently no longer exists. For all 383's in corvette land you must beat the Fartster and preserve the honor of LS1/LS6 strokers everywhere. Goooooooo Pitt... beat Fart Pipe ...yeah team!
