i have a conv c5 with a4 that has 273 gears. my father has a conv c5 with a4 that has 315 gears and his also has magnesium rims. both cars are completly stock, how much should the 315 gear help his car from a 40mph roll? how easy should his pull on mine? what kind of et should be expected out of these cars as they sit?

Yeah it really could go either way from a roll, so much depends on what speed you guys start from and what gear each car is in when you hit it.
But from a dig the 3.15 car should have a slight advantage.

in 88 i had a vert with i think 2.73 gears, and my buddy had a coupe
with 3.07's, at the track he would go 13.80 and i would go 14.10
both auto's, but on the street i would walk him from any mph
we rolled them off from a 25mph in first gear and both cars spun the tires, mine has a summitumo tire and it broke loose pretty good in first gear and my dads pulled hard on me first race. 2nd race was from dead stop and again mine spun really bad and he walked on me. 3rd time it was from a 40mph kick and both cars were really equal then. his car has nittos and 315 gear that helped him. we have plans to take them to the track to see some ets. there is nothing better than talking smack and racing slow cars!
