just curious, what rear gear and tire are you running? I have 3.90's on a 305/35/18 and always hit the rev limiter right at the lights in 4th....
time for a drag set up, not a purdy street set up I suppose

4.10s and 26x11.50 ET Street squeezed on a 8.5" rim, I'm always a fan of function over looks.

what power are you making, im in the 600 area, and hitting the limiter in 4th at about the 1250ft mark on 26" tires with 3.90's at 130mph

Raise your limiter???
7500 rpm. Hehe
Maybe only 7300. You have rod bolts?
I've spun my stock bottom end LS 1 to 7200 more times than I can remember. Might not be the best idea, but it worked for me...

I believe in the mid 400's, you need less gear or more tire

yea, I'll keep the limiter at 6800 and go to a 16" wheel with a 28" slick... this was just out for fun to see if I could sneak in 10 sec pass, 11.06 at 131mph right before the track closed after a 11.6 and 12.04 with a 2.6 60ft,lol
cold tracks are hard to leave on with a small sidewall tire...

422rwhp last time on the dyno. I agree you should run a 28" tall tire with that power and gears. Hoosier makes a 28x11.50r17 that a buddy went 9.7 in his 6-speed with.
