I read somewhere where Danny took runner-up in the all motor final of the LSX shootout. I hope this is the case. That's a remarkable achievement for someone with a brand new setup, IRS suspension, limited gearing, and a few other disadvatages. Those are some of the fastest all motor lsx's in the country. Plus he's the first all motor late model vette to break into the 8's.
Congrats Danny.
You heard correctly rob. Thanks alot. It was a great weekend. The limited gearing is certainly a huge disadvantage but I want to prove that properly set up, an IRS car can run with the straight axle four link cars. The highlight of my weekend was beating Jud Massengill in the SAM camaro in first round after he had quailified with an astounding 8.29 ET. Here is the time slip from that run. http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/382/chpnationals.jpg Here is a list of my runs for the weekend; 8.891@151.31, 8.889@150.98, 8.858@151.97, 8.968@150.03 (spinning on the start), 8.913@151.26, 8.847@151.17, 9.001 letting off after the 1/8, and 8.857@152.21.

That's great. No more flying under the radar.
I can appreciate what a daunting task it is to get a vette to run that well.

Truly VERY impressive and probably the key accomplishment of Danny's LSx series weekend in my opinion.
But then there's this....

....which so many of us have been waiting/hoping for to happen for a few years now.
We knew it was likely going to be one of only three or four guys (Robz, stonabones and DBN among them) to do it first and I'm just glad that it finally happened.
Now who's going to be the first to do it with 3 pedals?
Awesome job this past weekend and congrats again Danny.
I appreciate all the support guys. I was getting pretty discouraged with this new combination as I had lots of things go wrong along the way, but this past weekend's accomplishments have made it all worthwhile. One day I would like to make a trip up north and run with you guys at Englishtown.

Do you have any video of the car from this weekend at all?
I saw some of the 'live feed' coverage from the event but only caught your very last pass and even then the video was all broken up/delayed.
I'd love to hear what the car sounds like at idle and some good footage of it running an 8.

Yes. Video is coming soon to a website near you. The wife of my friend N2 took video on every run. We will post them soon.
