Here is what I have....99 FRC
Ls1 ...410 rwhp,390 rwtq, 6 speed car with 390 gears.
I am going to be running the Hoosier Quicktime 275/40 17 tires in the rear and I am expecting a decent launch with minimal wheel spin. With these numbers and a hypothetical near perfect launch, what do you guys feel this car is capable of as far as et and trap speed?? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
{Stock Clutch,2000-2500 launch}
my buddy went 11.83 at 118 with nothing but bolt ons in a 02 zo6.stock clutch just slipping it sum at launch.I would think the car should go 11.70s at 116-118mph
The ET will be a tough guess because it will be difficult to get a clean launch. Have you driven a stick with slicks yet?
I also don't know what 410 at the wheels would net for a mph. Sticks are always 2-3 mph higher than equivelant auto. I'll guess 117?
I am curious because I went 12.0 @ 121 with my NA auto coupe recently, first good pass, and I have no idea where I'm at power wise. It will be getting some Hoosier Drag radials for this weekend, that pass was on street rubber.
It should go 11.70s or so at about 119-120 depending on the DA, how good you can front half the car and how good you can shift. It really all depends on how good you can drive and keep the power up in the power band on the launch.
For reference, my 02' Z06 bone stock other then a vararam and drag radials went 12.16@117. That was a 1.80 60' and in 1500' DA. About 360rwhp we guessed. And I was by no means a good driver.

With a clutch similar setups have seen tens@126+.
With the stock clutch, ideally, low 11's.
But you need seat time. You saying 2000rpm launch/slicks/and near perfect launch doesn't jive.
Best thing you can do is read some threads, ask questions, and start off slowly. Get someone to go to the track with you who has experience with a manual corvette(late model). It will take 100 passes before you start fing the bottom et for your setup.
I would air the tires up to over 20 psi and get a feel for the car. Theres alot to know so don't get ahead of yourself.
02 z With 430/400 and 3:42's i went 11.27@125 on a street tire, 1.78 60' . Da around 0 ft, 60 deg air temps. I also went 11.36 @ 125 in 1200ft da as well on the street tire.. i would expect around a 11.20. +/- @ 122 if i was driving ur setup at my local track, which is cecil county in md...
Edit* i just saw ur on a stock clutch... stock clutch+dr's is a recipe for a broken trans... ask me cause i know from experience.. ur gonna need a 4000 rpm+ launch to get it to 60 ft well, and the stock clutch will get angry before u even go 60'..

An honest dyno! And a pretty sticky street tire. And, clearly you know how to drive the car! Those are impressive numbers.

Can you explain your launch technique? What tires?
I ran 11.7 at 125 in mine on street tires with a massive bog to a 2.0 60 ft.
I'm curious as well, because a stock clutch should slip if anything and not break parts. I didn't start breaking stuff till I put in an aftermarket clutch. Also wondering what street tires as that is impressive if a true street tire. I fought to get in the 11s on a 200treadwear street tire when I put on heads at ~400rwhp, I finally did an 11.99@120 on a 1.88 in the heat of summer so I was making less power and the track was stickiest. Still had to peddle first and granny shift it. I launched in 2nd for giggles and cut 2.1 60' and still ran a 12.3 lol I assume your frc is cam-only?
My passes were on a Nitto nt-05, not the R. Well my only pass on my stock clutch and dr's the pedal stuck to the floor and i ended up damaging the 4th blocker ring and shearing the forged keys.. not really a theory just my experience. It has never stuck on a street tire, but i think the 4k rev launch on a 47k mile ls6 clutch didnt help . now i have a mantic single but no passes yet.

Nice pass, I thought you meant you broke the trans output shaft. A stickier tire definitely puts more strain on the clutch.
Here's a video of 5k rpm launch on LS6 clutch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93iHB...7&feature=plcp
I haven't tried the nt-05, but they appear to have a good contact patch. I assume you swap your clutch fluid at the track?

I just want to see a clean launch... On stock clutch or aftermaket with Nittos's giving a 10 second et. .. Besides a one in a lifetime deal.
