These times are on a short track, known to be about .4 tenths too quick. Pickwick drag way.

NEW TIMES WTF!!!!

1/8 et 8.37
Mph 81
I'm blaming the stupid intake it gets lava hot after 10 mins of driving
Also blaming the c6 wheels they are heavy and tall and I have a 3.15 geared A4.
But STILL, all that money then the tune and I lost time!!!! I've never been this disapoiinted or embarrassed my whole life. Anyone else have any input?? Even with the ba intake and wheel choice, I thought the headers and tune would shave some good time! The car felt alot faster leaving the tuners and I KNOW it's faster from a roll... I'm thinking about selling the car I'm so upset...
Weigh your stock wheels compared to the new ones. Static weight is 3-4 times that difference... times 4 wheels. You might be towing and extra 200lbs now.
mmmmm this sounds weird. C6 wheel upgrades are not going to make you slower not after all that stuff you did to the car. Did anyone drive it and pour gas for you? i have a hunch its got a tank of 87 and its acting up. you should be DRASTICALLY faster with all those mods. Either that or the ET timers at the track are out of wack.
The car is really slow out of the hole with the big back wheels and 325/30/19 rear tires. Like takes forever to reach good pulling rpms 3500*++
It feels alot faster from a roll an the hptune trans torque graph results were 320 tq before tune and 405 after! Tune feels great. The intake is being replaced with a fast 102 and ls2 tb this week... I'm gettin two light weight rear wheels and slicks for the next trip to the track.. But I still feel the time should be better.. Idk guys.. Really disappointed
I'd say also the wheels could be a starting point. Where are you located? I'm selling a set of MT drag radials mounted on OEM 17" thin spokes with only 180 street miles and 5 passes. That will help you. Also, ice the intake in between runs to keep the car from going into heat soak and pulling timing. That helped ours a ton and improved consistency to where it was almost dead on every pass.
I'm in Texas and can ship the wheels. I have pictures in the for sale section. Let me know if you're interested
You need to get a good tuner to help you put together the best parts that work in combination. A 102 fast is overkill if you have stock cubes.
Talk to Texas Speed and I bet they will set you up with a better combination. Also the taller and heavier the tire the slower your 60 ft.
You want to go faster, and stay reliable, change out the 3.15 for a 3.90 and pick up 4 tenths for the same price as your new fast and TB.
By the way what was the DA on the two days you raced. You have to compare apples to apples.

Tarheel, I was the first person to respond to your thread with the drag pack. I REALLY need those, but all of my money just went to a fast 92/ls2 throttle body. I didn't have to do that, but that bbk really pissed me off, and I think I also had a vacuum leak from it.
Next will be a 3600 converter, and a set of tires and wheels for the track. I need to look more into exactly what gear fits the g92 equipped 3.15 a4 cars.
I'm not sure about DA and what it means, but the temps and conditions were pretty close.
i'm going with with wheels also, I had a buddy that gained a full car length, just by swapping his rear C6 repros, for stock C5Z wheels.
Why did you choose the BBK intake anyway?
Update: fast92/90 combo will be here Thursday. I got the bbk intake I figured hell its gotta be better than stock. Wrong. No difference whatsoever other than it put my IAT's in the 150 range!!!
With the fast setup, I'm still not goin back to the track yet. Gears/drag pack/converter is going to be the next step.. I'm gonna save up and do it all at once. These changes and additions should take well over a second off my 1/8th.
