Backhalf numbers
I left at 2000 and got 1/2 throttle as it moved out then matted it. No tire spin. Even netted a 1.59 60ft. Car would be bad *** on a dead hook track.
Anyway, on that run, it went 7.14 @ 98.8 in the 1/8 mile, and 11.18 @ 121 in the 1/4 mile.
Thats only 22mph on the back half which just seems wrong.
So, you A4 guys who run in this range, what are your back half numbers?
I was reviewing my good runs from last year, and it was 23 on the back half, not quite as fast in the 1/8 mile.
We did have a smidge of a head wind, and I don't run skinnies up front...although I do have some.
Just curious.....
FWIW...my son went to the track 60 miles south, ran 12.2 which is 2 tenths better than he has run at my track....and they sprayed throughout the evening. You can bet I'll go down and try a REAL dragstrip soon!

The last time we were out we only run low 12s and 110mph in the 1/4 so I don't know if this will help you or not but we pick up 23mph in the second 1/8. 1.59 60' is pretty impressive rolling into it. Our best is 1.60 and we dead-hook. New 295/50/16 Hoosier drag radials are here so when the new wheels arrive I'm anxious to try them and see if we can dip into the 1.5x range. Oh yeah, I do run skinnies ... I picked up 3mph from those over the OEM wheels.
Have you ran with the skinny's? You are knocking at 10's door
I'll air em up and try tonight. They are M/H bias....would rather have radials....oh well. The rims are GTO spares.
Good luck.

I noticed something interesting....the left lane showed 25.5 mph on the back half, the right lane showed 23mph.
Left lane 97 mph, right lane 99mph. 660ft.
I think the clocks are all messed up, as is the starting line. I never even tried leaving full throttle, and still spun bad on 2 runs....
All runs over 122 after I found what it liked for AF ratio, which btw is 12.2:1

I found a run real close to yours and my back half is right there with you. This is my Auto, 3600 stall
11.164 @ 120.28
1.611 - sixty
7.107 @ 97.41

I typically pick up 30+mph on the back half, but my car is a stick with 3.42 gears and a 416 stroker. I run a CCW drag pack with 16x11.5x26" ET streets and Firestone bias front skinnies. If I only had to drive 60 miles to get to a good track, I'd do it in a heartbeat! Go there and report back, I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised!

I'll check the forecast for this Friday.
You stick guys back half quite differently. And of course you have a lot more hp than I do.
I am so gun shy of my track, I probably miss the only chance at a full throttle leave on the first pass when there is a little prep. But the car is violent when it blows the tires off, and I like my diff in one piece.
I walked out and checked the start line last night....they seem to forget to spray where the rear tires sit! Gads.....
I actually offered to give the track manager $20 to let me prep the right lane for myself....he just laughed.
Last night, I drove home on the freeway......the drag pack messed up the traction control system....I forgot to turn it off....and with the fronts being slightly taller than the rears.....well, the DIC lit up and the car decided 38mph was my top speed....rather freaked me out!
I sure wish there were a 27" bias street slick out there, but there just isn't!

I've also run across tracks that the timing equipment wasn't equal between the two lanes and that is frustrating. Good luck next time!PS are you running a vararam?

I hear you on the skinnies. They would fit easily in the car to try at the track.
The car does have a vararam.
Of course last night I went to watch my son spin the tires in his S10....and it hooked excellent 4 of 7 passes. His best 60ft was 1.67....the vette would have hooked too. They actually prepped extra good for an electric car making passes.
Figures huh?
