Stole my thunder Chris! Thanks to Rich. Damn smart *** phones!
Haha sorry. It was probably posted here before you got back in the pits. Glad you finally got the track prep you needed. With it being that cold, I would have expected an ice rink.
Thanks guys. And thanks for the Vid Rich. Gee, it really doesn't look too exciting does it, it just sort of goes!
Track was good, they prepped once at the start of the evening.
The smaller Hoosiers on the thin spokes just flat work well. And yes, the little front tires help too.
Not sure about the driver part....stage it at 1800 and foot to the floor....then just sit there!
We were going to race again today, air is -1100 right now....but the race got cancelled.....for a walk-a-thon or something. It's a city park....
A bit more converter and it would probably go 10.70s... You need another tenth off that 60'..
Car is running great for a stock bottom ls1... Glad you finally got some good air..
We are about 2 months out from getting any decent air. I hope to make some shake down runs in Dec or so to see where it's at with the auto.
Thanks Alan, and yes you did tell me!
In studying the logs, my normally stalling at 3500 converter was stalling closer to 3900 last night. I did some tuning to the fuel curve below stall, and of course the awesome air = more torque and more stall.
Maybe....just maybe in the same or better air, I could go quicker.
But really don't have the desire to do so, it is such a nice driving car as it sits. It has survived about 130 passes now, without a single issue. I best just leave it be.
I have the 5.3 turbo project to get going on for the Nova to concentrate on now.
