Default 2007 seat fire

This is the craziest story. I know you all have played with a magnifying glass as a kid, and you know how perfect it has to be to burn something.

My buddy Rick pulled his seats and set them on his work bench so he could begin the install of a roll bar. He has a large magnifying glass on his grinder. Well he opened the back door for air because it is 80 degrees here in Florida. The sun hit it perfect and caught his seat on fire. He just happened to be walking by and saw the smoke. Could have burnt the house down. Is that crazy or what ????

I used to hang my reading glasses from my rear view mirror of my '90 GMC Sierra pickup (my driver); which stayed in the same spot during the work week (ride the bus to work). One Saturday I got in the truck to make a run to a hardware store and noticed these parallel black streaks across my cloth seats. They appeared to be burn marks. I thought what the.... It took me a few weeks to solve this puzzle. The sun was hitting my readers at just the right angle and literally scorching a streak across the seat. As each day passed (and the sun's angle changed) I got another streak next to the first, etc. I'm surprized the truck did not burn to the ground! Needless to say, the readers don't hang from the mirror any more.
