After the Vats left me broke down at my last race I parked the car the rest of the summer until it cooled down. I finally got around to putting the Strange drag brakes on the front and replacing the key to resolve the Vats problem. Made 3 passes. The first it knocked the tires off and went a 11.3. Track prep was poor and 80% of the cars were on street tires and kept pulling water out of the box. Next pass clicked off a New PB 11.172@121.14 followed with a 11.184@121.06. Based on the 60' it spun a little on the 3rd pass. I will post up the breakdown of the slip in the C5 quick list section.

I am a bit confused as to where to put you on the list above, you were on the bolt-on list and now I assume that with the cam, that you want to go on the Internal Engine Modifications - Head/cam -> 346 list, please clarify.
You asked to be bumped up on the heads / cam list and you are not on it. It could be me, it early
1700 DA is **** air ... hope you guys start getting better (much better) air!!

Not to be argumentative but could you please explain "Cam only". If a Stock MN6 C5 runs say 12.8 (Automatic closer to 13.x) in the quarter, and you ran 11.2, it says you needed about 160 rwhp (almost 200 crank) gain to reach that mark. I don't believe there is a cam out there that could do that. If so, I'll be the first to say I was wrong. Now if there are more mods than "CAM only" then that may explain it.
That being said, those are still great times and even better trap speed. What was the 60 ft time?
Looks like I have some explaining to do. I was under the impression that when a car was still running stock heads and a cam was added "cam only " implied a cam with the supporting mods. I will edit the title. Hotwheels, I am already on the head/cam list. 11.306 around 15th I believe. I will brake down the car below for all following.
99 C5
Stock heads/ no porting
TSP 228r cam and all the valve train goodies that go with it.
TSP long tubes and x pipes dumped.
Fast 92/90mm ls2 TB
Vararam
Circle d 3600 stall
4.10 rear.
MT 295/17 DRs and GTO spares. Strange drag brakes on the front
Bolt in RSD cage.

Yep, that would be cam only. Great runs; congratuations! very impressive.
Those ET numbers are amazing to me especially in that air. We make 372 to the wheels with our stock lift/stock duration cam, LS6 intake and have gone a best of 11.58 (1.50 60') in KILLER air (DA was below sea level) and we run similar converters and gear. You have about 10 more rwhp, air was about 2000' the wrong way and your car went about 0.6 quicker. I need to get to work on ours!

I have been keeping up with your car build for a while now. I think you may have had a friendly dyno on the 372 pull. Your numbers ET wise are inline with my bolt on setup. I made 337rwhp with full boltons running a fast 92 and ran 11.53 with some negative DA. Can't wait to see how your car runs when you get the head/cam package!!

Most likely the case. Your FAST will help as well.
Amen!!! My wife and I are closing on our first home together in 3 weeks and for the first time the Corvette, trailer and parts will all be in one location. We currently have a two-car garage on the house we rent for our daily drivers and the Corvette is in a storage shop across town. The home we are buying has a two-garage on the house as well as an oversized two-car shop.
It will be nice to be able to work on things by simply walking outside so that we can get started on a cam change! And as an added bonus for those hot Texas summer days:
Sorry OP for hijacking your thread; great runs and we're ready to finally get serious and join you as you knock on the door of the 10s NA.

Great looking house! I am getting married in November and the wife and I are moving as well. I am going to have to make this setup work for this and next year with all this life stuff going on. That and 45 dollar oil aren't helping this car go any faster.

Congratulations! Yes, we have two sons in the oil industry (here in East Texas) that used to make a ton of money but now are in different lines of work. We also have our youngest in college (private university ... nursing school) so we too know about life. I'm contemplating putting a cam and intake on the car (as well as springs, etc.) and seeing if I can get into the 10s (and 9s on spray) and hold off on the +$2K heads for the time being as college tuition is pretty hefty. Well worth it ... I will say though that ONE year of college would pay for a high-horsepower turn-key big cubic inch race engine. LOL. We wouldn't trade paying for college for the world though!

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
