Default Heads/Cam Dyno Results, SI5 Cam

Finally decided to do heads/cam on my 98 M6. I ended up going with Speed Inc's SI5 Cam and PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 Heads. I couldn't find a lot of user feedback for this particular cam on this forum, so I thought I'd make my contribution for anyone looking in the future.

I had Speed Inc. do the install and dyno tune. As usual, they are a fantastic shop to work with and I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Mods:

- XS Power Long Tube Headers
- Callaway Honker CAI
- LS6 Intake
- SI5 Cam (231/237 .589 .595 112)
- PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 Heads
- Corsa Sport Exhaust

Dyno Results (graph attached): 433 RWHP / 397 WTQ

The car is a lot more fun to drive now and pulls super hard! The next track day should be a ton of fun!

Drivability-wise I'm really happy with this cam; the car isn't my DD, but I could easily use her as such. There is some slight bucking at low RPMs but nothing to complain about (and for that reason I'm glad I didn't go with a bigger cam like I had originally wanted to).

The car has a wonderfully aggressive lope at idle now, especially through the Corsa Sports (though I think I'll be upgrading to Extremes in the future). During my research I also couldn't find any vids of Corvettes with this cam, so here's mine at idle with a couple revs! The camera really doesn't do it justice though!

Nice Results and nice torque curve. These LS1/LS6 motors respond well to heads/cam mods. Its been what 20 yrs since the LS1 came out, They are so underrated.

Thanks! And I agree, the LS is such a bang for your buck platform... doesn't take much to wake them up!

Nice numbers. Ditch that LS6 intake and it won't die so hard after 6500.

Those are solid #s. About what I would expect with these mods on a dynojet.
