Default converter loss

How much hp and tq is lossed with the 4l60e with 3.15 gears compared to the 6 speed with 3.42 gear ratio. Curious what whp is expected with tsp headers, and a small cam. I had a 98 z28 6 speed 3.42s that made 375wtq 375whp with a small cam, stock ported throttle body and headers. This cam is slightly bigger except for the air bridge the c5 has being the only engine difference or restriction from what i can see.

BALL-PARK DYNO DRIVETRAIN HP LOSS

6 speed = 15%
auto = 18%

Great so on a 400-450 flywheel horse power car 60hp is lost thru the 6 speed and 74hp lost thru an auto. So you shouldnt have over a 20 hp difference in 6 speed to autos over 400hp? Is that at the rear wheels correct 7.5" 10 bolt and does the c5 lsd diff take up more up then an f-body diff. To me they look pretty close in hp as a 9" and 12 bolt are completely different rear ends.

I’ve always heard 20% or 100hp. It seems you are concerned with a very small detail in a grand scheme. Are looking at swapping auto to manual?
