4L60 trans opinion
I have a 97 a4 and had the motor rebuilt about 2 years ago. It has ported and milled 243 heads, Eps cam, texas speed headers and catless xpipe. The car made 400rwhp and 407rwtq. I'm in the process of getting money together to get my TT rebuilt and want to put a converter in while everything is out. I really want to rebuild the trans as well. Motor has 8800 miles and trans has 168,000 miles lol. This is a street car in every sense of the word. Car shows cruise nights. Is it really necessary to upgrade to rpm trans or any other solid trans company out here for a car that might see track use 2x a year. My trans works great. It was tuned about 7 years ago and had a stand a lone trans cooler added to keep the temps down to 150-160 high way driving.
I would like to know is there something between stock rebuilt and like a rpm level 4 or 5
