Default How do you confirm rake angle

How can you accurately determine the back to front rake on a C5. My 1999 C5 FRC track car feels a little floaty on fast straights at over 100 when the straight is a little bumpy. I have Viking coilovers and a 18" square setup and big Johnny O sway bars. Somebody suggested that possibly I need a little more back to front rake in the car. Now I'm trying to figure out what the actual rake is on the car before I go making adjustments. I heard that measuring from the wheel wells to the ground is not necessarily accurate but using that method showed approx 1/4" to 1/2" rake. The suggestion for a more accurate approach was to measure from the lower control arm (LCA) pivot bolts to the ground. but I'm not sure if that's an accurate approach. What I found was the front LCA pivot bolts (there are 2 for each LCA) are nearly parallel to the ground but the rear LCA pivot bolts are not parallel. The front bolt on the rear LCA is over 2 inches higher than the back bolt leaving me wondering which bolts should I use for measuring in the back of the car. Anybody got some pointers on how I can determine what my current rake back to front is by measuring from the LCA bolts? It was a real PIA trying to measure those, maybe somebody has a better suggestion. Thanks

Why not use the frame with a digital angle gauge as it currently sits and adjust from there?

Thanks, I've never heard of a digital angle gauge. I'll look into that.
