Just imagine what you could do with a set of AFR Heads and 425-475 rwhp!!
Sorry, couldn't resist!

Pat with the first pass of the day with the DA being 2220 ft baby shifting the car he went 11.42 @ 119 as it was the first pass since the diff/trans rebuild. I will post the video a little later
He let me make the next four passes which the my best was 11.58 @ 120 before I left to pick up the kids... Then the starter died
DA dropped to 1500 +/-feet. I feel the car had a lot more in it. We will see what we can run in Famoso on 12/5
Nice seeing everyone again

Doh I thought I had posted this earlier

Just an FYI our best mph at this track prior to the H/C 11.953 @
113.99 mph. So increase of 6 mph which would agree with the 60 rwhp the dyno shows
Our car ran several 123 passes in Bowling Green at the Z06 fest.

Ok.... I got numbers too... Not where I wanted, but dam is the car alot faster. I really need a new clutch. The stock one just cant hold the power.
60' 1.823
330' 5.139
1/8' 7.820
MPH 94.61
1000 10.094
1/4 12.011
MPH 117.70
This is on BFG DR's and was with a DA around 1600. I will be in the 11's @ Famaso next month pretty easily if I dont touch anything. If I can swing the clutch/gears before then mid/low 11's are in the cards. Dam does this thing pull now though.

I thought we where going to get about 20 passes in the car. So my first runs where getting used to the car. I have only made 4 passes in the car since July in KY. Can you see rusty
Pat saw my last pass while he was in the staging lanes with the truck and it was so bad he was surprised when I told him it was 11.7
So I'm happy I can drive like crap and still run a 11

Wow, how did that happen? I think you drove it last, maybe thats when it happened. I am starting to wonder if your AFR Cylinder Heads were installed correctly. I am not an expert by far, but it looks like the valve hit the piston. That looks like a piece of ring off the piston.
Who is installing your new short block (15 days till Formoso)??

Pat thinks maybe we where running it too lean He doesn't remember the a/f ratio and I can't find the dyno sheet.
Don Lee Auto is doing the install. They say if I can get it here they will get it installed. I also lose 2 days because of Thanksgiving
I wanted a 383 or 408 but I can't get one of those here in time. We will probably build the existing one to 383 and then have a spare

I guess I can contribute to this thread, since I have AFR 205's and recently had my car to the track (last week). I ran a personal best of 11.55@122, with a 1.69 -60', and hitting the limiter a couple of times. Robz drove my car easilty to an 11.3@122+ with a 1.59 -60', hitting the limiter (got to get a shift light ) and without powershifting. I am certain he could have put the car into the 10's with a more aggressive effort, but it wasn't his car and he had never driven my car (it has an Excedy dual disc...a bit different than his Cartek clutch) before.
My car makes great power, yet drives once warmed up very close to "stock" (well....the cam does have a slight lope and it does have a different tone ). But even Rob commented on the relatively sedate nature of my car.

I'll throw my two cents in here. I have a 2000 coupe MN6 with AFR 205's, 224/228 cam, stock LS6 intake, stock TB, TPIS headers, RT cats, and 410 gears.
I ran 11.86 @ 123.9 on GY runflats. There is a ton left as far as improving the ET. I wanted to see what the car would run in true street trim. I was shifting at 6500 because I do not trust my pre 2001 rod bolts. The motor was still pulling hard at 6500. Shifting at say 6800 would probably help things as well. I am very impressed with this setup.
