Default 2.73 draggers step in...

Im getting frustrated.....

Ive got a BONE stock 2004 a4 w/ 2.73's..

My best 1/4 mile is 13.5 at 103 mph...

The temps of all my 13.5 runs are any where from 77-85 degrees HAWAIIAN weather...

I went to the track tonight because it was forcasted to be 69 degrees..

I went to the track and the Vette confirmed that it was 69 dgrees..( Very rare for Hawaii)

So I was hoping for a 13.4 at 104 mph..

I ran 13.7-13.9 all night at 100-101 mph!!!!!!!!!

NOW I WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH MY 2.73 BROTHERS.......

I dont want to here the mph your car has trapped at best..

Ive let my car sit for 3 hours at the track and pulled a 104.5 mph run in 78 degree weather...

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHAT YOU TRAP IF YOU LET THE CAR SIT FOR NO MORE THAN 15-20 MINUTES BETWEEN RUNS......

100-101 seems really low..Even if it is being pretty much hot lapped...

Are you guys running similar mph....Or can you run back to back all night and still trapp 102-10?

Im sure if I let her sit ATLEASTE 30 minutes in between runs Ill hit atleast 102...

But I had no patience tonight...

So what mph are you NORMALY traping at..NOT YOUR BEST...

And whats the temp where you do it....

THANKS...

I don't have 2.73s but I can tell you that. It's not just the temp. that effects your cars performance. If it is very humid that will also slow your car down even if the temp. is a bit lower. Because moisture in the air displaces oxygen, if there is less oxygen in the air your engine won't make as much HP.

Hawaii has very poor ET's and Trap speeds compared to other tracks. I have a '01 2.73 car that trapped 106 stock..with air intake, Predator, and TT2800 TC it trapped 12.73@110 mph

Once Again...i Dont Want To Here The Best Youve Ever Trapped Please..

Like I Said Ive Trapped 104.5 In 80 Degre Weather Wich Would Put Me Around 106 At A 60 Degree Track In The Main Land....

I Want To Here What You Trapp On Average If You Dont Let The Car Kool Down For More Than 20 Minutes...

If Your Trapping 106-107 Every Time In Your Bone Stock 2.73....

You Could Let The Car Sit For 2 Hours And Then Trapp 108....

The Normal Best For A 2.73 Is Around 105......

Am I The Only One Who Ever Trapps This Low?????????

My 01 A4 averages high 101 to 102. Best was 102.7. It has 3.15s in the rear.

I know it needs plugs and a tune. Bad pinging at the top of 1st and 2nd. Car is completely stock with 57k on the clock. I'm in Texas with high temps and humidity.

If the humidity was really high then that could go a long way in explaining your results.

Do yourself a favor and lose the 2.73s. You seem to go to the track a fair amount. You're just trying to drag race with 2.73s.
