Just finished my work at the track shooting for Drag Illustrated Magazine and NHRA. A few shots from Friday night qualifying.

2023 C3 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Idaho! Winter is coming, so I’m enjoying what will be one of the last drives of the year.
My car in front of the clubhouse of one of our Corvette club members. I was put in charge of coordinating local social activities, and so I put together a dinner for our chapter there. I took the photo for members to know where to go. I drove my car to the dinner, as did a number of others. We had C2s to C7s there.

Burning Brakes
Used a Canon 7D2 camera with Canon 100-400 lens.
Settings:
ISO 800
f/11
Shutter: 1/2500sec
100-400 lens @ 312mm
This actually was not hard to do at all. They aren't going all that fast so I have lots of time to see them approaching and panning with them. Plus I take multiple shots as the approach. I have a much harder time with the prop planes as I have to use a much slower shutter speed (1/320sec) to get the prop "blur".
