how much ram? I'm trying to justify to myself if it's worth going from 32 to 64 G
My Computer is about 18 months old now, but when I built it back then I put in the very best chip you could buy Intel 19-14900K and 64GB RAM. At that time RAM was really expensive so going from 64 - 128G would not have been worth it to me (given the price at that time). Though if I built new today I would likely start with 128. That said all of it depends much more on HOW you are using you computer. For me it is a work station and I have multiple programs all open at the same time (Lightroom, PS, Color Efx) then of course Hulu open to watch TV on my dual 4k photo monitors and other tabs of the internet. With this set up and 64GB is never slows down....so I come from the school of building a machine not so much for what you are doing today but what you MAY do in the future.
All of that said you can certainly get by fine in most instances with 32GB...but if you are dealing with huge files (big RAW images) doing a lot of PP and editing and you want you system to run without bogging get as much RAM as you can afford to make it future proof. That said if you do a lot of 4K video editing...I would never go under 64GB.
