Which QuickJack Would You Recomend?
Just got a C6 Coupe and I’ve been eyeing up these QuickJack things for a while. Also have a couple of other cars I would like to use it on(67 Mustang, 2017 Ford Edge, 2003 Ford Escape)but mainly the Corvette. Anyone have one of these? Which model would be best? |
I don't have one, but I keep thinking I should get one these. Lots of threads if you want to do a search.

Attached is a picture of a portable medium rise BendPak 6,000 lb. scissors lift with a lift height of 48 inches that is more practical since you would spend more time on your feet than on your knees or back and be able to sit upright underneath. This scissors lift is also designed so that it has an open throat on one end so there is no obstruction of cross members on one end. Depending on how you position the vehicle you would have unobstructed access from underneath. The collapsed height of the unit is 4.75 inches and garages with an 8 or 9 foot ceiling would permit many vehicles to be lifted to near the maximum 4 feet, the Corvette for sure even with an 8 foot ceiling. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...1c3523bf22.jpg |
Hoping to find a catch all to do the vette, and my wife’s Edge. I don’t have the room really for a regular lift and these look like a great alternative. |
I have the 5000SLX. I use it for the C6, my daughters Honda Civic and my wife's Cadillac SRX. I have the SUV adapters for the SRX.

Am considering one of these also but not sure about the stress/load they may put on the concrete which i'm sure they poured the minimum thickness in our garage.. Once loaded seems like a lot of weight distributed on small areas. Anyone have any experience with this issue ??

I would have concerns about using on on a blacktop driveway. |

Where from? Direct from them or was there a sale here on the forum?
Thanks! |
Occasionally they run a sale. $900 for the 3500 is a good price. I have also seen the 5000 being offered for $1195. I think last year they were at Corvettes at Carlisle offering special pricing but were honoring it for phone orders if you mentioned it, according to a members post last year. Corvettes at Carlisle is coming up August 23-26.

I have the 5000SLX also and it works great. Use it with no problems on my C6 and C3, and wifes 2017 Colorado Z71. I keep it stored under one of the Vettes so it's out of the way.

BL-7000SLX with the frame extension kit. Works with the cars I have now and most anything I'll have in the future. The BL-5000SLX would have been fine for the curb weights I'm dealing with now.

I saw this picture and thought those garage floor looked outstanding, must be an Arizona house (I have a home in Surprise), Cave Creek is a nice area. The builders pour post-stressed concrete floors as most homes I saw there were on slabs. Post stressed flooring is consistently the best I've seen. |

Just going skimming down this thread, I too want to pick up one of these, but it needs to be able to pick up a Miata race car plus the Corvette plus a Yukon. I can get two out of three with the small one and may just go that route. If the Yukon needs anything it can go to the dealer plus it has enough ground clearance for oil changes.

I'll have to check theMiata forums again, I didn't find any references to Quick Jack.
I measured a friends car on my last trip to Surprise, the 3500 was short enough to fit between the wheels. The other issue would be weight of the unit. Easier to muscle around a 3500 than a 7000. Very tempting to go with a 7 if it would work for all three. |
My buddy Chris sells them. He'll be at Carlisle Vettes if you're there. Or private message me your contact info and I'll be glad to pass it onto him so you can talk to him directly.

I was seriously considering a QJ but don't have room in my garage to get the QJ in on the side facing the wall. So I went with raceramps instead. If I need to get all 4 wheels off the ground I'll rent a lift bay for the day so I can stand up under the car. Those guys on Garage Squad are obviously more agile than me!
