I wouldn't necessarily say it is a dream car, but I love to drive and while big block muscle cars from the late 60s/early 70s are highly coveted, I don't see them as practical drivers for me.
I would have a 1970 Dodge Dart with a 340 and 4 speed. Good power, nice size, and easy to drive.

I currently have the Vette, a heavily modified MG Midget, and a '79 F250. The Vette and the Midget are both dream cars for me. Next on my list (one day!) is a Porsche 930 turbo, and a chopped/channeled fenderless 3 window coupe hotrod, in fairly traditional style. One day both will come along... My wife also has a Datsun 260z project we must get back to at some point.

The lotto list though? It's looong! Add to the above:
Lamborghini Countach
Ferrari f40
Any 60's/70's front engined v12 Ferrari
Type 35 Bugatti
Jaguar C type
Jaguar D type (or I guess I'd settle for an XKSS...)
Jag XK120 or XK140
Holden LX Torana hatch, A9X flares/scoop/spoilers
Holden HG-HT Monaro
'69 Charger
'70 Challenger
~'70 Nova with BBC
VW Beetle, either turbo air cooled or Suburu powered
Triumph GT6
427 Cobra
A Mercury custom
Split window Vette
Modified C1 Vette
An old swb Landcruiser with Chev, big axles, big mud tyres etc.

And no doubt some others. Of course, I'd have to have won lotto to have time to drive and maintain them all!

Pictures below of the Holden's for the benefit of those not familiar with Aussie cars:

The one and only other than my 72 Corvette would be a mint condition Black 1966 Olds. 442 four speed convertible.

Besides my '70 LS-5, my next favorite car has to be my '34 Ford 5-window Coupe hot rod.

If I had deep pockets......
1.409 Chevy impala
2.Austin Healey 3000
3.1969 Pace Car Camaro.

That would work for me.

On most days I'm a jeep guy. A 2002 grand for a work car, a 2015 jk unlimited for the wife's grocery getter, and an old cj5 for exploring nature. The vette is for pure pleasure.

Dream car ? For me, an Indy Car with Indy race history or a real Ford GT 40. Yikes ! I gotta check my lottery numbers.

When I was 12 or 13 years old I was absolutely nuts about new cars. I saw a new Tbird drive by and the rear turn signal was so cool it burned into my brain - so those cars 64-66 Tbird were always a favorite of mine. Almost bought one before I decided on the vette.

Here's what I'd pick when I win the lottery. This was a non-driving prototype so I'd have to build my own from scratch:

My Dad's '59 Big Healey. I'll admit, this car is probably the funnest car I've been behind the wheel of. He bought it in 79 for 500.00 Pulled it out of a barn, after 30min tinkering drove it home. Its never been restored just a redone brakes, Alt conversion, shocks, etc. It is rough but drives great. In some ways I hope its never restored. just nice to have one you can get out and really drive like its meant to be.

Age 72 here, my vette is a '72 vert hotrod, nothing stock,-from stem to stern, wheels through roof......but over the years my favorite car was a '70 Pontiac Lemans convertible, I put a 455 in it, and a Chevelle 12 bolt rear, disc brakes on front, quicker steering, '79? Firebird wheels, blue with white top/interior....it was a GRAND tow car, I had put DPFI on it from a '79 Caddy Seville, got a manifold all modded up and so I still have it on a shelf....sold the car south many years ago because it sat outside suffering, no point to that.....

it was a GRAND TOW CAR, the kids loved it....hell of a ride towing a boat up to W. Va. along the Potomac river......open that puppy up and hold your EARS!!!!

the car was published in Feb '95 issue of High Perf Pontiac Mag...because I put the first direct port injection on a 455 the project was done in '92 ....I picked up about 5-6 mpg in the conversion, and enough INSTANT throttle response to flip people around no sweat.....

Not sure if it was this thread, but I talked to a seller today about trading in my '69 towards his exceptional Pantera.

I need to get back to buying cars before their prices spike!

I designed this reverse Hood about 30years ago.

Sun Glasses required !

Split bumpers Front and Rear,
directly inspired by the C3 bumpers !
