I got a 2012 C6 LT3. My driver door bose speaker needs to be changed. Anyone have an idea on where I can get the factory bose speakers from at a good deal?
I'm assuming your vehicle is out of the manufacturer's warranty.
Be very careful when sourcing as the original BOSE speakers have superceded parts # wise a couple times. Even online GM wholesalers did not get the part # correct when my Grandsport driver's door speaker did the standard cone seperation.
The best thing to do is contact a dealer you trust with your VIN # in hand so that they can provide you the correct superceded part #. Use that GM part # when sourcing from one of the online wholesaler's to get price and availability.
I would then contact your local dealer again and give them the opportunity to match out the door price for the speaker (including shipping and any sales tax). I always try and give my local dealer a chance to price match first before ordering online. In just about every case they have been able to meet or even exceed the price. Unfortunately some dealers will not budge of retail but many dealers are more than happy to make the sale at a lower margin than lose the sale completely.
Dennis at Double D Mods sells aftermarket speakers that he claims are better than OEM, and his prices seem pretty reasonable. He has a good reputation here.
Of course, you'd need to install them yourself or find a shop you can trust, a GM dealer might not want to modify the car.
