Default 1974 350 belt routing/alignment

Good evening all!

I just got done rebuilding the power steering system on my 1974 Corvette.

I am struggling to find the belt routing diagram for the 350 J engine with AC and power steering.

I have it routed where the belt in question is routed around the fan, crank and ac, but this route makes the belt almost run against the power steering reservoir... thoughts?

Thanks so much for any help!!!

Hi 1974,
There's a belt routing diagram in the Assembly Instruction Manual. Perhaps you could check there.
Here's the sheet from the 71 AIM.
Upper row. Might it be a help to you with your 74?
Note the number of grooves on the pulleys and which groove the belts are running in.
Regards,
Alan

Hello,
Here is the diagram from my 73 AIM. This will be the same for your 74, with exception of the smog pump. If you have a 4 speed it will be the same configuration, but if you have an automatic then you will not have the smog pump on your car.
Hope this helps,
Tooch
