Default Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires

Has anyone tried these yet on the C7 GS? I need everyday tires and these look to be a great option, although non ZP. I'm fine with that, but have seen posts elsewhere where the suspension didn't work as well with the difference in sidewall stiffness with softer non ZP tires.

Lot of posts on tire options. I have these tires on my 16 Z and the ride and less noise level is much improved.

To be clear, these are not the all season version of the Sport Contact, which is the DWS tire. These are the Extreme Contact Sport tires which are new and have not been reviewed as far as I can see.

So wondering if anyone has tried these yet, and I see mixed responses on non-ZP tires to our Z07 suspension. Any clarity to that will be appreciated.

Thanks!!

I've asked Tire Rack a couple times about those but the 335/25s haven't been supplied to dealers yet. No ETA as of a couple weeks ago.

The latest issue of Grassroots Motorsports (that arrived just yesterday) has a comparison test of this tire and the new Michelin PS 4S. The conclusion says if your daily driving has frequent wet weather, chose the Conti. For more consistent dry use with only occasional precip choose the Michelin.

I am looking at the Conti's to put on a second set of rims which are 18/19 front and back. The 295/35/18 I want for the front is not out yet.

I have a buddy that put those on his Z06 and they look great! Note: they are not run flats and his opinion was not as sticky on dry pavement but better in wet weather than the stock tires that came with the car.

Not a direct answer to your question but I find these tires to be great on my Audi A4 Avant with a factory sport suspension. I've got about 10k miles on them.

Interested in non run flat in the 17 GS size, 285-30z-19 and 335-25zr-20 also. Tire rack told me there was no all season non run flat at this time and only Michelin in the size i mentioned. Lurking

I'm waiting for Z51 feedback on these. They are significantly cheaper than any other like performance tire.

It may take some time to read more reviews about this tire. Most of us here are mostly on Pirelli, Michelin and Toyo tires. Continental are also known to lasts so we might expect good reviews with Extreme contact.

From the day I picked up my 2017 GS (May 12th), I've been concerned about the wear time on the OEM tires. The Conti's look like a good alternative even though they're non-runflats.

Where did you get your tires for the Z, some have commented they are not available for the rear for GS and Z06 but not so according to your pick. Mind sharing cost? Thanks

These are the DW version of the Conti's which as far as I can tell are no longer available in Z06 and GS sizes. As stated before, the EXTREME Contact Conti's are on back order (more correctly- waiting for release). Supposedly the end of this month per Tire Rack.

I understand the new tires are not out yet but for daily driving I cant imagine you would not be impressed. The DWs that I have and I also have DWS for winter are very quite and ride well. I've had the DWSs on a Z51 and a Z.

Two concerns......... the DWs which are discontinued have a rounded edge whereas the Michelins have a more squared off profile. When I first ordered the tires I did not think this would matter 99% of folks don't even notice but I do. Second concern for me.........these tires suck at the track. They squeal like crazy and my lap times are way down because I just cant take the turns as brisk. I don't think that a factor for you but these are my observations. Frankly I've decided after comparing lap times after this past Monday to shop for some Michelins.

Does anyone have feedback on how the Conti's compare with stock tires for picking up rocks and sand?
