Thanks Dave, I am the second owner. I am stuck because it needs to be restored but I cannot bring myself to do it. It is a 245 hp, 4 speed hardtop only fully documented car all the way down to the original cancelled check.

Just drive it and enjoy it. No need to be another restored garage queen
that you can't really take most places without worrying.[/QUOTE]
I have been driving and enjoying it for the 29 years that I have owned it
This not a Corvette but I had this car for over 35 years.
It has it's original paint, except for the fenders and hood, original chrome, interior and drive train.
I used to drive it everywhere. It had a sleeve valve engine, 4 wheel mechanical brakes, no shocks and not power steering.
My wife was very sad when I sold it.

Had new Mickey Thompson sportsman tires mouted on my 1982 westerns and bolted them on to today with my eight year old son.no pics but I had him install the led lights front and back while I did the flasher and some new battery cables.
I loved driving my '66 coupe with old tired paint, even drive to Wal-Mart and park right up front. I fixed some old bad bodywork last year and re-painted correct color, and patina'd the paint, used flat clear and buffed it to get the correct sheen.
It may not be original patina, but I love it, and still drive it everywhere.
The car has had one repaint in 72 I will touch things up on the outside
and buff it out. The inside had to be gutted. Rat pee not good. Rodent motel for 30+ years. engine compartment will also be nice
OK..OK...OK!!! You guys have made your point and I'm in total GUILT!!
Here's why....I did a frame up restoration on my '62 back in 1988, Painted it with lacquer and it was BEAUTIFUL!! Two years ago I got some "road rash" by the passenger side cove. Since then it's been on jack stands and covered. After reading this thread I think it's time to wake up my BABY and ENJOY my Vette!!
