You know that most non-black wheels are not "chrome" right?
"Chrome" is the stuff that went out of style in the 90s.
"Silver" wheels are perfectly fine.
Silver wheels are better than black, but that's it. If your gonna have aluminum, why paint it silver??? leave it alone and have the polished or machined look.
The Brite polished wheel looks sooo much nicer. Black is blah with any color.
Well,I saw the Chrome first.Pulled up a chair and took a long stare. Then drove 5 or 6hrs..Saw the Black,Gray,2 Tone gray interior,CF Stripes. REDSTRIPED RIMSAND RED CALIPERS.It was a no-brainer.
I always said Black is Blah..Pictures do no justice to the Black Rim Combo's
Always Red Dave... 2ND picture from the top looks AMAZING![/QUOTE]
Appreciate that Dave The Sun really gave it a Night Raced Blue Look. The Metallic in the WGG Changes it so much
I picked up my new '17 Z51 mn7 today and the chrome wheels look incredible. I figure this picture should end the argument-chrome wins!
I traded my 2015 Z51 convertible. Incentives were great! Looking forward to driving this coupe!
How frigging arrogant! Look just because you like it in no way makes your opinion better than anybody else's. Again, how frigging arrogant. People have, and are entitled to, their own opinion.
Hey.... haven't you heard that "Rock and Roll is here to stay"!!??....smile.... chrome and polished aluminum have endured for many decades.... as has the hot rod.... the jury is still out on Black wheels IMHO....LK
This post was more about posting a picture of a new car than trying to start a war. Many people post their new car and everybody says "congrats" or "looks great" or something similar. Doing that is a form of bragging and is somewhat arrogant but this is the place to do it. We all have a common interest and we like to see photos of colors, options and backdrops. If we don't, we won't click on these and will stick to mechanical and performance based titles.
I just thought my wheels looked good in that picture. I bought a leftover '17 and if it had black or machined wheels, I would have posted a picture and bragged about it also. I can't say I hate any wheel color or style. My 54 year old eyes happen to find chrome very desirable. It's the brake dust I hate!
The fact that this thread has almost 10,000 views and 240 posts is evident that the topic is of interest to members and most replys have been fun and positive. I will confirm here that no negativity or put down of other opinions was intended.
We should all let this post die before it goes Sticky!! Kidding. Good day everybody.
