Ground wire to starter?
This ground wire is attached to the starter and Im not sure what is for? Or if its in the right place? It looks like its shown in the AIM?
Ive also got this strange orange wire coming from the firewall to a relay junction thats. Not sure what that's doing or what it powers? Any thoughts on that would be helpful too.

The ground on the starter is probably for the wiper and fan motor ground. On 70's it goes to the bolt for the inspection cover bolt but it is getting ground where it is.
The relay jct you speak of I think is your horn relay. They junction quite a few positive wires
here that branch out to different circuits. The orange wire looks like a resitive wire that could go to the coil? Get a wiring diagram for your car and you can figure out easily.
