Default C6 ZR1 for $55k!

I thought you would like this Used 2011 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 w/ Preferred Equipment Group for $55000 on Autotrader http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/277C6FE0

Thought someone on here might like thlikeKnwoing what these usually fetch or atleast are listed for. Yeah, it's got some miles on it but I don't think I'd be scared of 100k miles myself. Still to rich for my taste.

I got my bone stock 11k mile 2011 with brand new tires and a 2k radar detector for $54k back in 2018, I wouldn't consider this 100k mile zr1 a good deal

I understand. However, feel free to browse the classified section here and prices where much cheaper in 2018. You can find C6 Z06's for under $30k. Some being 600whp modified cars. C5 Z06's hovering around $18-22k heavily modified. Today , you will be lucky to find a C6 GS for under $35k. C6 Z06's easily hit the 40-50k mark. I haven't seen a ZR1 for less than 65k on here....wait, there might have been one for 62k? Their usually around $70k. So, compared to today's prices, if someone had say a 50k budget....they'd be more likely to score this one as compared to one that's priced at $65k+.

Fun fact, there's a bunch of low mileage C5 z06's with a asking price well above $30k. I took the time to screenshot every ZR1 currently for sale on Autotrader. Again, prices are crazy high and I'm patiently waiting until they come down. Not really even in the market for a ZR1 ,but thought someone out there might be.

I mean in today's world I still don't think that's a good deal, in 6 months you'll be able to get a lower mile zr1 in the mid 50's, wait for a few more 75 basis point interest rate hikes your country is about to get, it'll bring prices back down to where they should be

I have been hearing "prices will be coming down in a few months" for about a year and a half now and still nothing seems to have changed much. I doubt much will change in 6 months like you say, though I would welcome it.

I hope he is right but personally I say not. If I had ZR1 money to spend on a weekend car.....id buy this one in a heartbeat. Miles dont scare me and i wouldn't buying it as a collector. And when things like clutch. shocks, brakes, tires needed replacing I could upgrade? Or dump the 25k saved into performance mods

these will be dropping as they continue to sit, it’s just a matter of time.

And just about every one of those cars is still for sale. Some the entire year and a half. I just finally saw that someone sold theirs. That’ll give the rest hope and they will sit another year.

Yeah that's a great plan. Just wait another 5-10 years or maybe 15 or 20. Or 25 or 40. Oh wait...

That list isn’t even sorted by price. Mine has less miles than most of those and is selling for less money too. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My mistake. I thought the ZR1 had a 427 motor. That’s disappointing.
I’m not very familiar with the LS9 but I honestly thought it was a 427.
I learned something new today.

“People use both interchangeably, but the difference is that motors run on electricity and engines run on combustion. The engine converts various forms of fuels into mechanical force, while the motor transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy.”

from what I understand, the ls7 isn't very boost friendly. GM has went as far tonsay the 6.2 is the best engine theyve designed. I really like the ls7, once fixed of its factory downfalls. Someone has a silver z06 for sale on here now... if my house was sold and i was already relocated ....exactly what I'm looking for!

gives me ample time to continue researching. In 2020 ,I wanted a c5 but after reading here about how the c6 would likely make a better daily driver, and I just like the c6 design better. Those pop up headlights both make and break the c5. Just my opinion. In all seriousness, i need to sell my current home, find land and build before buying a 3rd vehicle. Once all that is done and completed and I have somewhere to store it, I'll begin seriously watching the market. Until then I enjoy combing thru the classifieds. Hell, I might have enough put back by then to purchase a nice C2. Who knows lol. Or maybe just buy a new C8 awd hybrid and put me a Biden face sticker on the driver's door window so everyone can stroke out at the red-light lololol
