I wanted to get opinions of Ceramic Tint vs Regular Tint for your C8. Who has ceramic and do you like it more and is the cost difference worth it???

Ceramic all the way...it blocks ultraviolet and infrared light! I like the color better too....

Absolutely YES to ceramic window tint film! I've been doing every single piece of glass with it in all my cars for a decade+ and it makes a noticeable difference. I personally use Llumar CTX30 on the front doors and Llumar AIR80 on factory tinted glass, sunroofs, & windshields.

I won't bother comparing the film specs tonight because I've been very pleased with Llumar's automotive films and my shop that is an authorized dealer.
I have XPEL 20% commercial building mirrored film on my west-facing residential front door and it's fine too.

Ok neat... I'm content with my full replacement lifetime warranty... Doubt I'll be too concerned about my tint's warranty coverage in the afterlife.

I did XPEL Ceramic on mine, my favorite part of ceramic over basic window tint is that when you are looking from the inside out it doesn't appear as dark. So at night you are not driving nearly blind. I would go ceramic 10 times out of 10.

I have 20% 25 yr old non-ceramic tint on my ‘98 Z28, and 20% ceramic tint on my C8. The non-ceramic is darker. If I had to do it all over again, I’d still use ceramic on my C8, but I’d have gone with the 15% the company recommended to begin with…the 20% just isn’t dark enough for me…
20% x-pel ceramic tint
20% non-ceramic tint (from 90’s)…

Ceramic isn't even a question. The only question is longevity, color accuracy, and VLF. @BandDirector for example, doesn't like doing the corvette-wave, and his tint compliments that nicely.

Ceramic is significantly better if you're wanting heat/IR rejection. If it's just for privacy then save the money. Llumar is without a doubt the best on the market, especially when it comes to clarity. I've had almost every brand and a lot of them are fine but none compare in clarity.

I LOVE the wave! ALWAYS do it from the steering wheel! Front window is not tinted, so I can still be seen as long as you're looking while coming at me!

The Xpel film on the side windows had a somewhat hazy appearance when the sun was at certain angles, none of that with the Llumar film.
As to the OP's original question, ceramic is the only way to go. My new M2 had window tint already installed by the dealer, I'm almost positive it's not ceramic. On a recent 3.5 hour drive with the sun out my driver's window, the side of my face/neck were uncomfortably warm. I make this drive every weekend, never felt that way in previous cars with ceramic film. I'm having the current film removed and will go with the same Llumar film we have on my wife's.

What’s approximate cost to have ceramic applied to the two side windows?
