Default Slots or Torq Thrust?

I picked up a set of 15x8.5 torq thrust for a different look, the slots are also 15x8.5

Slots are 1970s with some small patina and Torq Thrusts are new.

Neither rub or hit no matter how big the bump.

I have perfect rallies that came with the car and not interested in 17s or bigger, if those were my preferences they would be on the car.

I actually do like the 17s but the ride height needs to be just right IMHO... tires can look too thin and too much wheel well space, dont want to go through that suspension work

Just contemplating between these two.

1055861 from American Racing, 15"x8.5" with 3.77" backspace... third C3 I've had them on, when you look them up the photos online are file photos and not of these wheels so it's deceiving

I don't think there have ever been better looking wheels than the Torque Thrusts.

The torq thrust look great on any C3 as you have shown.👍

Buddy of mine who had those slotted rims on his C3 painted the slots body color and that made them appear like a whole new wheel.

I wouldn’t get rid of the slots….

I have some torque thrusts that I've never put on during my ownership but they seem such a natural for the car and seeing the pictures of your cars moves it up the to do list. Thank you for sharing

I agree, this has been my first bout with the slotted mags and they really grew on me... I only wish they were flawless, can buy new ones but not in the width im looking for that would work on a C3

I dont plan on it now... I was going to sell them but decided to hang on to them... looked for a while for 15x8.5 and had to drive 5 hours one way to get them

Pic of my 71 C3 with 18" TT2's. Nice part about the grey is they are clear coated so no polishing.

I'm thinking they both look really nice. Tough decision.
And you should have made this post a poll. Although I'd have a hard time deciding which to vote for.

I like both but prefer the shine of the slots on a dark colored car.

Thanks and yeah in the past always an easy decision with the torq thrusts till having the slots on the car, they gave the car an authentic vintage look... consensus appears torq thrust so far.
if the slots were like new I would have kept them on the car likely, nobody could see the flaws unless right up on them but I knew they were there.

^^^ Same here but I think I would lean towards the Torq Thrusts. Great looking car either way

👍 they had a deeper look as well which I liked.

There is about 3/8" difference in backspace but made a difference
