This is great fun, and the group is a great bunch of folks. If you join, tell Phil the treasurer that Joe Gutierrez sent you! He gives discounts for those who bring in new members (I think Mark's_c5TT got the discount for me).
If you are a straight line kind of guy, check out

We all owe our fearless leader Bob a debt of gratitude for getting this Challenge set up for us. Thanks again Bob!!
Should have parked in "your" spot.

OK, but seriously Bob, I really do appreciate your efforts in this. Like I said, the spot I parked in wasnt too far. I think if I would have arrived later than most of the crowd I would have used it.

OK, I'll lay off the boys in DRAG (ooops, did it again -
)But seriously, come down to Homestead, a 2.2 mile course, on June 4th. Doesnt cost anything to watch. You can also ride in anyones car for a $35 fee and there will be plenty of us to give you rides. But you will need a to get a compliant helmet (check their website for compliancy)
Homestead Speedway is a 2.2 mile roadcourse with 13 turns I believe. Top end speed on the straights range from 110's - 140's depending on your car.
Sebring speedway course is 3.7 miles with 17 turns and the straighst are longer. 120's - 150's on the straights, again, depending on your car.
There is also Moroso which they wll doing in August I believe.
If you do get a helmet bring your vette cuz you just might want to get out there yourself. Like i said you will need a helmet but no rollbar, harnessbar, or harness is required although it is stongly recommended.
Hope to see ya there!

Most fun you can have with your clothes on IMO.
Most fun you can have with your clothes on IMO. I've had some clothes come off on the straights with the top down (shhhhh). I remember cuz I was black-flagged for it on the next turn
Thanks again and I look forward to being involved with this fantastic group for years to come-they'll have to pry the steering wheel from my hands!

Roger---I am glad you liked the suprise cake. It was hard to keep that a secret from everyone. I think I only really told Jeff, John C., the two Joe's, and John Perez at first. Then, quietly told a couple other Challange guys online. The rest were as surpised as you, I hope. Thanks again guys for the donations.

John-- I really appreciate you taking the time to set up the camera as much as you did during the cruise. I got alot of positive feedback from the guys in the cruise. We felt like movie stars getting our 5 seconds of fame coming through Deerfield Beach.
