What else do you have done to your car?
A stock LT-1 car with street tires is in ISG. (Stock except for an OEM equivlent exhaust, i.e. flowmaster, corsa...)
A stock LT-1 car with DOT race tires is in IG.
Once you start modding stuff, your class can change quickly.

"92 polo green convertible LT-1, 6 speed, Hurst, Crane roller rockers, all new ignition (vented Opti-Spark, MSD wires), K&N air filter, ZR-1 wheels, Meziere Electric coolant pump, Hooker Shorties from Jet Hot, an R&D cross-bar and camber-brace, B&B"

Looking at your sig, you are at least group II. There may even be one or two things that don't fit into that group too, but I don't have a rulebook with me down here in FL. Plus, you don't have a roll bar so you can't go to group III.

Ed,

Tom's car is fine in Group II, that's where he ran last year.

When do you get to come home?

The discussion we had last year put me in group II. I didn't care because all I wanted to do was try this auto-X stuff out. The mods in my Vette don't really make it faster. For example, I have headers, but they're shorties and eveybody knows they don't help you with horsepower, they just look cool and run cooler. My roller rockers are 1.5:1 (OEM) no advantage there, just more longevity and efficency. I'm not a threat to take any points away from anyone, I just love to run. So, is it "e" or "g"?

The headers and water pump put you in Group II, the rockers are legal in 'G".

Remember, the real reason any of us do this is for the fun, friends, and fellowship. Plus looking at women in summer cloths straped in to a 4 or 5 point harness, is always a pleasure

The prize money is not enough to retire on.

Thanks Mike. Group IIG it is. The check will be coming at you next week. Oh, and I haven't forgotten the real reasons for all this, especially the scantily clad ladies, belts or not.

Tom

Prize money!? Is this for who is buying the first round?

Scantily clad women? I need to get to more autocrosses. Things must have changed in the last couple years.

I am here for fun and ..... (well my wife may see this).

I made my hotel reservation today. The nice lady on the phone said the non-smoking rooms are going quick. If you need a room call them soon. They have plenty of non-smoking rooms left though.

You don't want one of those slow ZR-1s.

He usually runs with me. We're both verts. He's an auto L98. But it depends on which Vette he brings. He'll chime in soon. But if he doesn't put him in my class IIG. We won't be stealing anyone's points for your championship. We're just going for braggin' rights and fun.

With a L98 he will be in E, depending on mods, he will be in either Group 1, 2, or 3, if he is in Group 2, then he is in my class..

Braggin' right and fun, that's what it's all about.

Good luck. Hoosiers are a lot of fun. Kuhmos work very well too for the money.

If you want ot run 315's all the way around I have some Kuhmos you can have, they don't have a lot of life left, but if you want them come and get them. Anderson is not that far from you.
