Default Help with headers install!!

Does anyone know of someone that can install some shorty chrome headers (hugger type) on my 76, 350 SB? Or can anyone assist me in doing it? It will involve welding and I don't know how to weld. The headers will connect to a short 90 degree pipe then to the cat and then the side pipes. I have two cats and the setup is the same on both sides.

I live in Yorktown, VA (SE Virginia) and would appreciate any help I can get ASAP as I am hoping to have them on in time for Corvettes at Carlilse (25-28 Aug).

I have tried the local muffler shops and no one wll do it. If you can help, email me at villardk@gmail.com.

Talk to Kevin at Auto Muffler King on Jefferson Avenue in Newport News. Been in business a loooong time, and they do good work.

They will weld up everything for you after you install the headers. In the past, if you call before you go and tell them you are on the way, you can sometimes get away with driving the car with open headers to have it welded.

I drove my 62 Impala that way to the muffler shop once ... even stock 327's sound nice uncorked!

That's the plan. I am staying in Wormleysburg at the Econolodge. It's about 18 miles from the campgrounds.

My son and I are leaving Thursday morning/early afternoon if you want to join us on the road. We're staying in Harrisburg, it was the closest room available. Are you going to the Forum dinner Friday night?

I am sure you will be happy with their work.

The Mrs. has to work Thursday night, so we won't be leaving until Friday AM.

Should get there in time for the dinner at Red Robin!
