Default PC Beach Caravan

OK so myself and a few other PGCC members met up in Sandestin today and cruised over to Panama City to meet up with CCC for their Saturday seminars at the hotel. When we got there this guy (who I believe is the Plant Quality Manager in Bowling Green) was toweling down the 2007 Atomic Orange C6...

Unfortunately for him the car did not stay clean for long due to some kind of spray or mist coming from the hotel tiki bar area:

They also drove down with a 2007 Velocity Yellow Z06. No chips on the front despite the lack of a nose cover coming down on I-65...

Here is a photo of the two-toned seats in the '07 with the C6 emblem on the headrest:

And here is the steering wheel of course. I was going to take a picture of the glove compartment since it was supposed to be bigger, but since there was no noticeable difference I didn't bother.

Oddly the Atomic Orange seems to photograph well (or at least it does with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel), the metallic color really comes out, but in person it seems more muted, almost like a dull bronze. Overall I would have to say I was not very impressed with the new color, the Daytona Sunset Orange looked better.

The seminar by the C6 Exterior Design Manager was pretty neat, he showed some concept sketches for futuristic-looking Z06s. In one of the seminars they mentioned that the car learns your driving habits in the first 500 miles, which I was wondering about since if that's supposed to be the break-in period, wouldn't most people drive the car differently during that time period? Hmm...

After the seminars we headed over to a local restaurant for lunch and then the other guys cruised home while I opted to catch some rays on the beach. The drive home was pretty slow due to Thunder Beach weekend motorcycle traffic. Guess I should have cruised with the other guys so at least I would have had better scenery (C5 Z06, C6 Z06, etc.). Oh well!
