Hey man....insurance pays 100% so might as well go to the dealer since you have a HUD.....other than that

As I understand it, the windshield is now considered part of the Frame. Anything done to it affects the compressablity of the passenger compartment. There was a special a while back (Dateline?) that said the companies that offered to give free steaks and replace your windshield, really weren't qualified to do so, installed incorrectly, and used substandard parts, which again affects your surviability in a crash. Take it to a dealer.

Dealer is definitely the best place, but if not, then Harmon replaced one of mine, once, and they did a great job.

I wish I could say it went well. The glass never made if off the truck it was damaged. No suppliers in the bay are can get me a new one for atleast 2 weeks. My insurance company has a deal with safelite and they can do it on thurs.

Cecil,
Sorry to hear of your windshield woes! Hope it gets taken care of soon.
We are doing well. Steve's car is down right now (tranny is getting replaced), so I've got to let him drive one of the yellow ones every now and then!
next year!
Take care,
JJ!
