Need a tuner... ??VA?? / Jeff Creech ?
Looking for a tuner in the VA area.. Doesn't seem to be anyone around that can tune a vette correctly. I've heard good things about Jeff Creech in NC. thoughts?

Tune a Vette correctly? Dont know what you mean by that. We/I tune. Done more camaros than Vettes. Im an ASE master tech with 20 years exp., half that time as a driveability/electronics specialist. I am capable of tuning anything. Hate to reveal any blackmagic secrets but its not rocket science. I mean, if you understand how to scale a MAF you can scale a MAF, GM, Ford, etc. The big thing is understanding how fuel trim works and what it means. We also tune Mustangs with SCT. Let me tell you Gm vehicles are easy comparitively speaking. For a vette you just tell it what injector size in plain english. For the mustangs its a formula. Inj/3600= injector slope. Jeff Kreech has tuned many more vehicles than I. Not comparing myself, no disrespect to him. I have tuned cars, built cars over 500 HP. I know Jeff has done many more, and more powerful. I have experience that goes far beyond just EFI tuning that does contribute to the whole picture. Like advanced driveability skills. Like tuning a 1500 HP, 600 CID quick 8 type car using a Racepak data aquisition sys. to the quickest and most consistent it ever ran. and some brief exp with an alcohol funnycar. If you have any questions call 757-424-1740 or stop by, we'd be glad to show you some stuff we've done.

Hmm...Which dyno? how many people do you think he would want to travel? 3 ? I don't see how he could dyno tune more then 3 cars in one day. I know of one other guy that would like a dyno tune. Maybe 2 or 3 more. I know i can get 1 more person for sure if you are in we should have enough.

Lets just say I've had my share of poor tunes and crappy advice. I'm NOT going to name names since I'm not into forum bashing but I want to make this the FINAL tune. I've been told I have a "difficult combo". The tune I have now is close but still needs a little work. The other tunes I had didn't work out.

In all seriousness, I've heard good things about Creech, and had planned on using him in the future for both my vettes. Need to get the '89 squared away first, '94 doesn't need a tune yet I don't think. We'll see.
Anyway, PM FELNGR8 about Creech...he used him to tune his '94. HTH.

Jeff will be able to tighten up the shifts on a C5 auto and bring a bigger smile to your face.
He doesn't like to pack up and travel with chip burning equipment so 94 and later cars (flashable PCM) can be handled during a group session. More complex issues like Jerkyboy's DFI and AT&NB's DRM/Cartek top secret setup car might not be doable on the road. He can do them in Durham.
I will say that Jeff has done enough LT1 and LS1 cars that he has some set tweaks that work for each flavor of engine. He altered some settings on mine that John Sealock wouldn't do with the wide-band session.
If you get him to come up I want to be there to watch and kibitz.

I`ve know Jeff for a while and he`s tuned my 96 LT1 TA several times now. Very knowledgeable and a great guy. I am planning on doing this dyno day however I have a definite who wants his SSR tuned ASAP. Considering my Vette (2 bolt-ons) and the SSR (completely stock), we would not take long and we could concievably do 4 cars.
So do we have a definite date? and who is definetly in? And do we know which shop`s dyno is being used?

The only shop I know of is Springfield motor sports. Curry's auto has a mustang dyno.
Please give suggestions. Then I'll give him a call.
