After buying new brakes and rims, plus sending gifts to my four kids and 10 grandkids I'll be doing good if I can order a McDonald's Happy Meal at the end of the month!
We can have a gathering at my house if anyone is interested. We can install Ben's new brakes!
I talked to MOVIT yesturday and the rear kit is done and ready to ship. However the front kit still hasn't come back from the painter. They hope to have it by weeks end. I'll contact them again monday and let ya know.

This is why it's great to be a member of CF. No where else can you find out the status of your efforts so publicly. Just kidding, Robert!!
I have all of the rest of the items (fluids, new bolts, etc.). How long would you estimate it will take to swap the rotors and calipers and bleed the system?
Can't this saturday and on the 16th I'm having my car tuned in VA beach if anyone is interested in driving down with me. I'll going to trailer the car down there.

A few hours at most since it's a bolt on system. No longer then it would take to change out the stock calipers with new stock calipers.

My plans for Penn. just got cancelled so I might be able to go to Va. Beach on the 16th.
I'm making plans to ship my car overseas for the Le Mans 2007 and corvette show at the Hockenheimring the week after. Is anyone else interested in sending there car over?
Shipping cost from Balitmore to Germany or Belgium is about $1700 (includes shiping insurance) each way. You will also have to pay a port entry fee which is around 100 to 150EUROS. You can drive your car on an american password with Europe insurance for 1 year. I'm thinking about keeping my car over there for a few months and fly back at other times during the year for other events.
IF anyone else is interested let me know. Maybe I can get a discount for shipping more then ONE car. Or we can share a container...
3 to 4 cars fit in one container and the container is about $4000 to $5000.00 dollars.
the corvette club in germany has a BIG event planed. Lots of stuff to see.. If you EVER wanted to see europe this is the way to do it. Keep in mind a decent rental car will cost you about about 500 euros a week.
You don't know how tempting that is! To drive the 6-ness on the Nurburgring would be a mind scrambler. To say nothing of the autobahn.
Barring a lotto win, however, my finances won't stretch that far
I can still dream about it, though.

If I could get a few European installs next year, I'd definately consider sending my car over. The prices aren't as bad as I thought they would be. If I get a trip to Germany I'll let you know and I can take the GS out for a quick spin, you know ... to clear the carbon out.
