We DO have several high speed events throughout the year - last year we were at Rockingham, Roebling Road and CMP (Kershaw, SC). If that's not enough, NASA has lots of opportunities for track time as well.
Thanks. I am a member of NASA & will being doing a couple of HPDE's this year. I really enjoy driving a road course and usually run all the Track Days at RA. I have never tried AX. Where is a good place to start?

The best place to start is the NCCC that Vettmike is talking about. These autocross runs are much more friendly to Corvettes. The most fun at an auto cross event that I've ever had was at Sanford, NC, which is an airport with lots of room to let your vette run. I've lost interest in SCCA's CCR, it's mostly designed for tuners and 4 wheel drive rice burners as the courses are too short and tight. For an all day event you get 3-4 runs of 40 seconds each or so. Stick with NCCC.
I'm not in the Upstate of SC but I come through quite a few times a year on my way to Columbia for performance work on my C5's. I found a shop down (B & B Corvette) there that is really good with these cars.

Nice state you live in.
Could you give me the name and website for this shop? I've been looking for a good 'Vette shop (I want a dyno tune) and I haven't found one yet! Sure would appreciate it!!!
Hey, another not to far away Vette owner, from Columbia. Get to Greenwood once a year for a meeting at Piedmont. Going to be up there first week in March. Hope the weather is good so I can bring my car.
I am newly moved to Greenville from NY. I still need to find the local greenville corvette club.
Carolina Corvettes meets at Simpsonville Chevy monthly on Tuesday night (I think) You can look them up.
I'm in the Spartanburg Corvette Club, if you are into autocross & high speed time trails, check us out. Thats all we do.
