Further to my original post, Anderson is the home base of the Carolina AUtocross Team (CAT), CAT is an NCCC club, one of our members was the Number 1 female driver in NCCC last year.
We are hosting a 3-day, 21-event autocross over the Memorial Day Weekend.

We DO have several high speed events throughout the year - last year we were at Rockingham, Roebling Road and CMP (Kershaw, SC). If that's not enough, NASA has lots of opportunities for track time as well.
WOW!!! Didn't know this many people were out there. COOL!!!!!!
Those "Track days" what is that. Is that actual racing or is it teaching/learning days? Can spectators go? Thanks!
The first time at Track Days you are in C Group, which is Lead-and-Follow with a Panoz pace car. They do four sessions, with each session going faster, so that you get a feel for the track. After that, you move up to B Group, where you are on your own with the only restriction that you can only pass on the straight-aways. Panoz keeps it pretty safe; they will black flag drivers off the track who are reckless. Typically there are 20-30 cars on the track in each group, so you get some first hand experience in running against a variety of cars & drivers. Once you do well in B Group, you move up to A Group where the drivers have more experience and typically the cars are faster.
