I wouldn't walk across the street to **** on a Ford's head if their hair was on fire.

FWIW - I would have attended and I am not afraid to say so. I am from West TN and I know first hand the things the Ford "cooks" have done in the past. However, I somewhat do like Jr.

That being said, I did not vote for him...nor would I. I think he tries to distance himself from his family, but unfortunately, they are holding onto his coat tail and he can't get the jacket off. Without his family history, he would have received my vote as well as many other Tennesseans I believe and right now he would be in Washington rather than in Nashville teaching a class at Vanderbilt.

I have met him on several occasions 1st time was at Pancake Pantry, nice guy, opened the door for me, shook my hand, and said hello. Second time was at Swetts (I love that place). He was there with his constituents and a couple of them were wearing DNC-08 jackets. This was 2 or 3 days before the last election so they were all fired up and shaking hands. Again, he came over and shook my hand as I would expect anyone introducing themselves to me.

He has the right thing to make it to the top....but he will never be able to outrun the skeletons.
