I've been around and talked to Harold Ford Jr a number of times..., but only in an offical capacity (meetings I had to attend). 
He is as bright as the TV ads make him appear.
HOWEVER - - - I also know some of the people who work or had worked for him. They will tell you that away from the public eye, Harold Ford Jr can be a self-centered ***** who feels that he is entitled to be taken as more important than anyone around him.
Reckon the Ford Family of Memphis DNA will come through everytime!
