Me so horny....love you long time.......oooops, wrong story!
After fighting for 2 days with GM and the local Chevy dealer, they are paying the entire repair bill for my "column lock" disaster of last week. It took quite a few phone calls but the key was I didn't give up. When this first happened, neither GM nor the dealer was willing to pay ANYTHING
But I took information I got on this forum as well as other places and made a complete pest of myself with GM Customer Service and avoided getting a $540 enema!
I had a terrible time convincing them this was related to the recall warranty repair of 2006. I think they were just hoping I would go away........

hate to tell you this but its not the end of your CL troubles. get ready for fuel cut off next... How come you didnt get the CLB instead? its too late for it now though.

Actually, that's what happened this time. Column never locked.......just fuel cut off.
Turns out they disabled my CLB when they did the first recall repair in 06. I am taking care of that.

unfortunately, that is what they cannot fix. the BCM module is sensing the CL is broken so it will shut off fuel for safety of the driver. your only hope now is to reflash the PCM back to oem then install the CLB. contact Corvettes of westchster as he is the only vendor i know that can do this. (150.00) you have to send him your PCM
i bet the dealer starts quoting you for parts and blames it on other reasons to justify it. dont fall for it
