Everybody have a safe trip to the launch! :yesnod:
The out-of-state caravans will roll in to Cocoa Beach (mostly at the Courtyard Marriott) late afternoon or early evening on Wednesday. Stop by the hotel and we'll talk Corvettes or maybe even take the Corvettes somewhere and wash them! ;)
Thursday at 8 a.m. we'll be at Eckler's for coffee, donuts and a tour. Then, the KSC ticket holders will caravan to KSC, leaving Eckler's about 10 a.m.
After the launch, we'll probably try to get together some where for our debriefing. We can coordinate by cell phone.
Friday, a bunch of us are going to meet at Eckler's parking lot about 9:30-10 a.m. to form a caravan for a visit up to Daytona USA. Group rates of $14, rather than the usual $20. Then, back to Cocoa Beach that afternoon or evening.
We're getting ready to leave in a little while to head over to Savannah HD to meet what's left of our caravan. Looks like it'll just be us and Ray until we get to St. Augustine. Looks like the weather's going to cooperate, its beautiful today. Good thing, gotta live up to my CF handle and "drop the top"!!!
Can't wait to see everyone! I'm glad this day finally got here!!
I just got off the phone with Ray, he will have to hook up in Savannah solo. I have numbers for you all, more than likely, I will be at Ecklers to view the launch, and contact several of you to see what the post launch events are.
Just checked in at the Marriott Courtyard with the crew we caravanned in with to Cocoa Beach. Gotta run now, the NASA folks want to give us a test drive of the Endeavor before they get ready to shoot it tomorrow night.
:jester
See you guys at Eckler's at 8 a.m. Thursday and we'll tell you all about it!
Just wanted to let everyone know that we made it back safe and sound.
Despite the fact that the shuttle didn't launch as scheduled, we still had a great time down there. The weather was beautiful and it was great to just get away for a few days. :)
Thanks again to Jim (savewave) Willis for organizing this cruise in. Can't wait for the next one.
Jim, I hope you didn't make too many citizen's arrests on the way home! ;)
Also, I picked up a copy of the "Corvette Dreams" video from Phil "Peach" Peachey. I highly recommend this video to anyone who loves Corvettes (and who doesn't?) It kicks butt!!!!
Also, always remember "Corvettes Are A**holes!!" ;););)

Hi, I'm your host Mark and this is my 2000 Corvette convertible. Don't let the pretty fuel rail covers fool you, this car runs 12's in the 1/4 mile. What, you don't believe me? Well, I just happen to have the time slip right here in my wallet pal!!!
Just funnin' ya!! The video rocks! I was trying to figure out where all that footage was filmed. Was it all one event or was it a compilation of several events? I DEFINITELY want to be in the NEXT video!! :D :D :D
