I had to drive Lakeland-Orlando & back today (Wednesday 21 Nov ) via I-4, and saw many cars en-route to Daytona, even a few street-rods pulling matching trailers:
of interest was a '78 Pace Car Corvette that looked like (from a distance ) it had the OEM sticker in the window.
On way back this afternoon, I saw a car-hauler with a few Shoebox Chevies & mid-'60s muscle-cars heading East on I-4: hope to make next years show!
Just walked back in the door from Daytona. One of the biggest turnouts in years. Bellair plaza was going strong as ever. Only down fall I saw was maybe a few less for sales cars than usual and more show cars. I'm guessing alot of people did like us and read there was going to be no parking there and left there cars at home. I've got a ton of pics I'll get posted up tonight or tomorrow.

Daytona was huge this year, and Bellair Plaza was hoppin'.
I was there Friday and Sat.
As usual, I thought the prices on cars for sale were on the high side.
Didn't see any good deals on cars.
Lots of super-nice cars, with barely enough time to see them all.

I was there Friday and Sat night as well with my Chevelle for sale. I had a great time seeing all the amazing cars for sale. I had heard the rumors from locals about the event being squashed next year, so we'll see what happens I guess. However this Bellair event seems to have a life of its own, so it may be hard to stop or prevent, which I hope turns out to be the case
where is belair plaza? I went to turkey rod run but didn't see anything about belair plaza?
Take a left off International onto A1A. Go about two-three miles and it's the shopping center with Publix in it on the left. It was the host event for the whole show back in the early 80's and before. There are usually hundreds of cars parked there mostly for sale stuff. Always a great group of people with huge crowds. The La Playa Hotel across the road reserves there parking garage for show cars only. There is usually some top notch rides under there.
One problem that I saw was some of the people with thier cars there on display did not put thier trash in a barrel. They left thier empty beer cases and cans laying on the ground where they were sitting. There was other trash ther as well, subway wrappers and chip bags.If I were the owner of this plaza I would be pissed at the mess left behind. Most of it came from the people that had cars there, I saw very little trash thrown down by spectators. All I can say is grow up, clean up after yourself, your mother does not work at Bel Air plaza. It is a case where a few duds are going to ruin this event for the rest of us..

I said the same thing to my buddy about how much trash will probably be left behind. I was in the front by Ruby Tuesday's and there was a trash can nearby to throw anything away that I had. Too bad not everyone respects other peoples property.
I saw a few who were drunk, throwing trash on the parking lot and just acting like azzholes in general. There wern't many but it only takes a few.Hopefully they won't ruin it for all the nice folks who attend this every year.Which far out numbers the bad ones!
