I'm trying to get a hold of ed, I sent him an e-mail from the link on his web site yesterday and tried calling today, but neither of the numbers on the web site seem right...one of them put me to some sort of an employment agency in California?!?
I need to get the harmonic balancer replaced in my C5 because its wobbling...I want someone who knows what he's doing to do it. Maybe go with a high quality aftermarket underdrive. Plus if I can afford it this would be a great opportunity for a cam.
anyway, I need to talk to you about all this Ed and get a plan worked out so you can help get my C5 running the way it should again! I never really met you but I came to your Dyno Day a few months ago, everyone here says your work is top notch and that's what I'm looking for. So if you're out there please reply!
hey Ratpackers, I still want to try to make it to the cruise this weekend, my harmonic balancer looks like its in the process of coming apart where the rubber seal holds the two pieces together. I get a wobble and belt squeal below 1500 rpm or so then it evens out above that. is it safe to join the cruise anyway? am I counting the hours or counting the months before it actually fails?
Mike,
Just leave a message on the shop phone and he will call you back when he has a free second. Ed is definitely a good guy to take your car to for any type of work.
I look forward to getting this work done.
e-mail is better to reach me if that's ok with you since I can't always answer my phone during the day...but you have that number also.
I went over to see Ed on my way home from work today. the harmonic balancer is in really bad shape, I'll be parking my car in the garage for a few days. just glad I caught it when I did. We'll have it back to better than new before long I'm sure!
